With 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in loss, can you really afford not knowing how to best support parents who have gone through the worst? The aim of this workshop is to enable you to best support parents who have experienced baby loss and those that are pregnant after loss.
Our workshop has been designed as a safe space for birth workers to understand miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death and SIDS and the complex grief and trauma that accompanies this loss.
You will understand how the language you use can make the difference between a baby loss parent feeling connected and safe instead of isolated and traumatised.
By learning the mindset of a grieving parent you will be well equipped to support them on their journey to their new normal.
So many antenatal trainings only focus on when birth has a happy outcome, or pregnancies and births that have minimal intervention. But for a parent pregnant after loss a medicalised birth can be reassuring and empowering.
The second part of the training focusses on pregnancy after loss anxiety, parenting after loss and how you can best you can understand, nurture and give hope to parents pregnant after loss.
